​Kubing - Bamboo Jew Harp

Decorated bamboo Jaw Harp Kubing (or Kumbing) from the Philippines with a loud and clear sound, to be played against the lips. The Kubing is very easy to play and therefore perfectly suited for beginners and children.

The T'boli believe that the Kubing is the only musical instrument played during lunar eclipse (Lenakaw) to rescue the moon from the mouth of the big python (Sowu).
