Shruti Box double - low G2 to G4 - Monoj Kumar Sardar
Shruti Box double - low G2 to G4 - Monoj Kumar Sardar
The shrutibox double G is designed for professionals who have very specific requirements. With its expanded range, it creates a rich and vibrant drone sound that is particularly loved by music and sound therapists.
The double shrutibox is both reliable and user-friendly, just like all other shrutiboxes in our range. It has a wide range spanning two octaves, from G2 to G4. This means that when you play individual notes or chords starting from G2, you can simultaneously play octaves, fifths, and fourths from the higher octave, simulating the basic principles of the harmonic series. Additionally, you have the ability to play any combination of the 26 chromatic notes that are available on this instrument.
This shruti box can be fitted with the shruti foot pedal, but only if stabilising feet are added.

ATTENTION! Irritating buzzing, rattling or ringing noises at specific notes may occur spontaneously in all shrutiboxes at any time. Such noises usually indicate a minimal displacement of the metal reed that produces the affected note. Due to the displacement, the reed touches its metal frame while vibrating. This phenomenon is widespread, often disappears by itself after some playing and can be fixed easily. No need to worry! It can easily be fixed. For shrutiboxes bought at our Merlyn store we give lifetime warranty on buzzing reeds.
Shrutiboxes not bought in our shop can be fixed too, but not under warranty.
But, if you're a little handy, you can fix it yourself. Here is a little video on how to do this ...
