The High Spirits Double Flutes are just as easy to play as the Single Flutes, but they require a little more breath. These flutes have two sides - one for playing the melody and the other for providing a drone in the root note of the flute. When you play them, it sounds like two people are playing at once.
The Nova double flutes are handcrafted from a single piece of sustainable, domestic Spanish Cedar, giving them a warm and full musical sound. The decorative engraving on these flutes is inspired by feathers, similar to our other flutes in the Double Nova Series.
This flute measures approximately: 19-inches long (47 cm) by 3-inches wide (8 cm) by 2-inches high (4 cm).
Our Double Flutes come with two mouthpieces, allowing you to instantly switch between playing it as a double flute or a single flute. This bass flute is tuned in 'E' minor and can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in 'G'.
We strongly recommend these flutes for experienced players only, due to their large size.
