The crystallophone (also called crystal harp) consists of 'singing tubes' made of quartz crystal.

When you gently rub the center of the tube transversely with wet hands, a soft long-lasting sound is created that radiates in all directions. The great thing is that you can create the sounds directly with your hands, so you can immediately feel the vibration of the tubes. When you rub the crystal tube with just one wet finger close to the suspension, the first overtone is heard. With 1 tube you can simultaneously create the fundamental and the first overtone. The combination of fundamentals and overtones makes numerous variations possible. After Feldspar, Quartz is the most abundant mineral in the earth's crust. It's amazing that it can produce such intense yet light sounds.

This crystal harp is tuned in the Indian raga Tilang, a joyful raga that inspires enthusiasm and positivity in our hearts.
