Copper Overtone Flute - C
Copper Overtone Flute - C
This is a bended copper overtone flute with a beech wood-turned mouthpiece in which a labium is worked. Hold it across and blow it like a traditional recorder. The curved overtone flute has no finger holes. The pitch is determined by the strength of the airflow and the opening and closing of the ending. Sounds very close to a Slovakian Fujara.
Overtone flutes are easy-to-play flutes. They have only one hole which allows the player through overblowing, like with a Slovakian Fujara, to reach a series of overtones up to 6 octaves. You can make a third base tone through closing the big opening at the end of the flute, creating a lively and virtuous sound.
