Shruti Box medium - C3 to C4
Our shrutibox medium is a great all-purpose box with a balanced, warm, full sound and attractive solid wood design. The sound quality is excellent, making it highly sought after for use in Yoga studios, sound healing, and sound therapy. Crafted entirely from teak wood, this shruti box is both durable and aesthetically pleasing.
The shrutibox medium combines the pros of bigger and smaller shrutiboxes into an interesting hybrid. It is considerably lighter than the large shrutibox, making it a rather pleasant instrument to carry. At the same time it has noticeably bigger bellows than our smaller shrutiboxes, which even facilitates a fairly constant sound of chords. The shrutibox medium is the only model with side parts made of solid wood instead of laminated wood, giving it an especially attractive appearance.
Equipped with 13 chromatic reeds spanning from C to an octave above (C3 to C4 in scientific terms), it allows you to select any note as a tonic and obtain its fourth or fifth interval. Additionally, the surpeti comes accompanied by a padded carrying case for convenient transportation.

| ATTENTION! Irritating buzzing, rattling or ringing noises at specific notes may occur spontaneously in all shrutiboxes at any time. Such noises usually indicate a minimal displacement of the metal reed that produces the affected note. Due to the displacement, the reed touches its metal frame while vibrating. This phenomenon is widespread, often disappears by itself after some playing and can be fixed easily. No need to worry! It can easily be fixed. For shrutiboxes bought at our Merlyn store we give lifetime warranty on buzzing reeds. Shrutiboxes not bought in our shop can be fixed too, but not under warranty.
