Standard Xaphoon "Pocket Sax" - ABS - in C
Standard Xaphoon "Pocket Sax" - ABS - in C
Invented by Brian Lee Wittman, the STANDARD XAPHOON (also known as the Pocket Sax) is characterized above all by its precision. It was developed for schools, bands, ensembles and just for all of those people who want to have each instrument sound exactly the same. The Standard XAPHOON is produced in Indiana in the United States, with a high precision production process from the same material commonly used for clarinet, oboe, bassoon, as well as mouthpieces for many reed instruments. Due to its precise standardization, reasonable price, and extreme durability, the Standard XAPHOON is an ideal introduction to the Xaphoon instrument family.
Unlike the instruments made from renewable materials such as bamboo or olive wood, this Xaphoon is made from ABS plastic in a high-precision procedure. It’s the material that clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces have been made out of for many years.
It’s the most cost-effective version among the Xaphoons and is practically unbreakable. The sound is more direct and somewhat stronger than that of the MAUI XAPHOON. The way the instrument speaks and its playability are similar to the other Xaphoons.
It is manufactured in Indiana / USA.
