Kalimbas are reed instruments that originated in southern Africa and can be found there in countless forms and designs. Our Kalimba B15 is made of solid American cherry (black cherry) and carefully handcrafted in our factory in Walsrode. The surfaces are treated and polished with vegetable oils and waxes. The 15 tongues are precisely tuned in the scale of G major, which makes it possible to play a wide range of songs. However, the Kalimba B15 is just as suitable for improvising and intuitive playing as well as for chordal accompaniment of melodies.
