Our Preservation Ringed Golden Eagle flute in the key of "F♯" minor has a haunting, ethereal voice that touches the heart and spirit. Handcrafted from a single piece of Aromatic Cedar, the flute is hand-finished with nontoxic oils that seal the flute giving it a warm, resonant musical voice. Aromatic cedar is considered an tonal wood with exceptional sound qualities.

Crafted from domestic, sustainable Aromatic Cedar wood. Aromatic Cedar has a range of colors from ginger-orange to burgundy-red. In some cases it also features the yellow-toned sapwood of Aromatic Cedar. This flute is tuned in the key of "F♯" minor and it can also be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of "A".

Preservation flutes are different from our regular flute collection because of small imperfections like minor shaping inconsistencies, stone inlay variations, design prototypes, unique wood qualities, or other cosmetic differences, which don't meet the aesthetic perfection of our regular flute line but never compromise their excellent sound quality. Every flute in our Preservation Collection still meets our company's high-quality, American handcrafted, woodwind instrument guarantee.

This is a six hole flute. We automatically include a leather hole cover with this flute, which can be used on the third hole from the top of the flute, as seen in the product's images. Covering the third hole from the top makes the flute easier to learn to play. The leather hole cover can easily be untied and removed, giving the flute player the option of playing the instrument as either a five hole flute or a six hole flute.

This flute is 24 inches (61 cm) long.

Each flute includes a FREE printed instructional booklet with fingering charts as well as an overview of the FREE High Spirits digital library and YouTube channel, filled with an extensive collection of 'how to play' videos, including new player flute lessons, instruction for intermediate & advanced players, as well as a wide range of videos focused on tips and techniques for understanding and mastering the High Spirit flutes.
